About Me

Hi, I’m Andrea.

I may have chronic pain and cancer, but I also have infectious joy and incurable faith. I love to tell others about the lasting hope that is found in Jesus Christ.

My remarkable husband Mark and I love spending time with our three grown children. Two of our children live in different states, so our time together as a family is usually spent on vacation in another location. We cherish these moments.

Having gown up in Florida, I’m a beach girl at heart, but for now I’m content to use the therapy pool in my Central Texas backyard. Most mornings, you’ll find me sitting in my oversized floral rocking chair, studying the Bible, and drinking Kona coffee.

About Andrea’s Work:

Having spent the last 20 years enduring life with multiple illnesses, including Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, Andrea is intimately acquainted with the hardships that accompany debilitating health issues. Navigating life while undergoing infusions, chemotherapy, more than 100 surgical procedures, and all the complications in between has given her deep compassion for those who also suffer.

Over the last two decades, she wrote Incurable Faith to help others find the pathway to a life that overflows with the beautiful riches of God’s sustaining love even in the midst of pain and suffering.

Prior to her career as a writer, Andrea worked in a wide variety of instructional and nurturing roles including everything from teaching aerobics to teaching first grade. Her favorite role was that of stay-at-home mother. She has also served as a Bible study leader, Children’s Ministry Director, Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) Coordinator, and MOPS small group leader.

Andrea’s devotionals have been read everywhere from her church pulpit to a radio station in Ghana, Africa. You can find her work on Christianity Today, iBelieve, Crosswalk, and OnePlace websites.

One of her greatest joys is interacting with members of her Facebook group Abundant Life Through Incurable Faith. Andrea is passionate about building others up in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ by providing them with practical tools to embrace spiritual abundance.
